Can't get enough of the new stuff from Pete Perignon!
Some of my favorites are: Traigo La Salsa, Tengo Que Conformarme, Yo Sin Ti, Lo Que Se Da No Se Quita
I'm listening to Grupo Niche play live, at the Sheraton in New Orleans! They just took the stage!! Hope this counts
The concert is over so technically I am not listening right now ... let me put on a Grupo Niche track while I type ... but they were quite good live. Their bass player in particular seemed impresive to me. I'm just a hobbyist guitar player, or I used to be, but he was smooth, precise, agile, and powerful; but he didn't overshadow the rest of the band. Very nice.
seriously great thread, got lots of listening to do!
and yay, i can post links, so i'm gonna celebrate with this Colombian "pacifico" gem:
and a salsa i've been listening on repeat:
listening to merengue... Los Diplomaticos De Haiti, a band with musicians from Haiti and Dominican Republic
best regards all
Echa Pa Lante.....Sirak
Buenaventura Y caney & La gota fria... Niche
Old post but - why don't you play these? Crowd doesn't appreciate mambo?
Found quite a few songs I liked here, thanks for the post!
Why ? ... beyond my pay grade
It depends upon the crowd..
Haha exactly, so you figured the crowd wouldn't like the mambo(+ish) songs. Oh well, their loss!
Many are conditioned by. what gets played in their class work
My students get spoiled ( musically speaking ) !!

Iam really liking Candela - Maria Felicia

My Sunday morning Son plays ( some will work well for salsa 1 or 2 ) .
Chocolate... Hasta pantoja baila mi son
Conjunto Criolla...La romana

You should post this on the sister site Dance Forums in the T/Arg section
