    hi everyone,

I am looking for songs with 3-2 clave for casino practice. If the songs are by Cuban musicians, even better, but any songs that stick to 3-2 clave pattern throughout would be amazing.

    Thank you in advance!

Does the era and/or genre/subgenre matter? I.e. I know some in mambo, salsa dura, salsa romántica, Latin jazz and probably son, many of which are from the 80s or earlier. (Obviously they have to be danceable, but it depends on how restricted you are about what you dance casino to. You have said 'any song' so maybe you've already answered that, but it would be good to check.)

Let me give you an example: any version of the song Blen blen blen will be in 3-2 (the title refers to the 3 beats of the 3 side of the clave). And it was written by a Cuban (Chano Pozo), however I imagine most casineros would not be impressed by most/all versions of this song, as it is generally/always done in mambo/Latin jazz.

Most interested in 3-2 songs with a son montuno type tempo, but am open to other suggestions as long as the tunes are danceable and not too fast. Doesn't matter how old they are either. Thanks!

LVV-Temba Tumba Timba should be easy to dance to and impossible to miss the clave.

Some are 3-2 rumba clave but that shouldn't make a difference. A lot of Cuban music is rumba clave
    Some of the older songs.
CH: Que te lleve otro, Homenaje a los cabilleros, Hagamos un chen
    Médico-Jaque mate, Dios sabe

Jazz pachanga in 3-2: Machito - Original A. As with Blen blen blen, the melody heavily emphasises the 3 side of the clave.

Out of curiosity, why do you ask, and do you care about 3-2 son vs guaguanco clave?

Whoops - Amor y control is not a romántica; the synths and era are right but not the lyrics (which are very good incidentally).

@Desafinado @djyuca I asked because as I'm sure you both know, in Cuba, untrained Cubans dance to 3-2 clave, (whether it is explicit or only implied) in the song.

This provides a unique challenge to those of us who are trained to also hear the musical "1", in which case if you are dancing to the musical "1", which could be arranged around a 3-2 direction clave or a 2-3 direction clave, the clave ceases to matter. Most salsa dancers don't dance to clave, they dance to the musical "1", and if the direction of the clave changes during the song, they simply "kick ball change" to reverse the timing and continue dancing.

The problem is that if you are dancing to the musical "1" and the song has 2-3 clave and you're trying to dance with an untrained Cuban, they will dance to 3-2 clave only, disregarding a 2-3 directional clave completely and without attention to the musical "1". So basically you will be on the opposite side/foot unless you can force yourself to unhear the "1" and just follow. Of course for a lead its different as they are the ones deciding the timing but, I extrapolate...

It's difficult to train the ear to listen for and dance to ONLY the 3-2 clave when you are accustomed to dancing to songs with clave changes and using the musical "1". so basically I wanted songs that are 3-2 to practice listening, and also to dance to, since in casino if you are dancing to a song with clave changes it's very difficult to stay on 3-2 timing the entire song when you FEEL the direction of the clave change and therefore the musical "1" becomes the "5" and you feel like you are crossed, or off timing.
