Genral: Rather small congress ( compared to Berlin, Zürich, Warsaw) Location: The Hotel was nice, well organised... Organisation: There was only 1 Bar serving Rum, and It was in the Kizomba room downstairs self serving free tap water was Awesome! It took maybe 3 minutes to get my wristband on Friday evening Dancefloor: Mambo/salsa room was way too small for my taste. Only danced there at the begining of the night or after 4am. Cuban/Romantica was ok , but since it was a mix beween casino and Linear style it was difficult to navigate the dancefloor. Bachata Room was very small, I've onyl danced liked 3 times and it was ok spacewise..Maybe I was just lucky, the air in the room was terrible and I was way to hot in there, same for the Kiz room Kizomba floor, seemd mostly full when I had to move truh it to get to the bar Floor: Mambo/salsa/cuba/Bachata room : Portable wooden floor over carpet, not my preffered floor but ok i guess Kizomba: Stonetiles Music: Cuban room was ok, not alot of Salsaton which is fine by me , some nice timba, not a lot or none at all of pure rumba'ish, lots of marc Anthony, and I think "es tu mirada" won the "most played tune" with around 8 times the whole weekend. Salsa/Mambo room: When I was there i mostly liked the music, I think they played more well know songs then at other Congresses, but It might just be that I start to know more songs my friends liked the music as well and they spent more time in the mamboroom Cannot comment on the Kiz and bachata room Concert, It was a bit too loud and I was not a fan of the singer, but I still greaty enjoyed it Shows: Didnt see any, but I was nice that they started at 9 so by 11 the mambo room was almost ready Cuban/Romantica room was open during the shows. Dancing: I enjoyed almost all my dances, The people were extremy friendly and welcoming ; ive never been asked to dance so often, and I never dared to ask so freely myself. One negative point was that In the cuban room only very few actually danced some kind of casino/cuban salsa. I myself mix Casino with Linear elements , but Ive never seen so much strict linear dancing to Timba befor. It gives me a headache to dance linear style to "esto te pone la cabeza mala" It was a completly different experience then for example Warsaw. London is more beginner friendly. I just wished the mambo floor was bigger or I was easier to travel around the room. But all in all I enjoyed the congress a lot, gave me an ego boost.
